Same beach, different sand

A few months ago, I gave you a tour of the beach. Well, one of the beaches in Den Haag, but the only one I'd been to. I thought I loved Scheveningen beach most but found a stretch of sand closer to our house that is an entirely different scene.

There are only a couple beach restaurants and far more dogs, surfers, and open sand; instead of a concrete backdrop dotted with merchants pushing cheap goods, it's nothing but dunes, a line of beached sailboats, then sky.

I think I just found my new favorite place in town.
